Brief, feature by feature.
Brief is the Executive Intelligence platform. It tracks every decision you make and every commitment people make back, and makes sure each one gets done. Here is what it does, where it works, and how it differs from what you use now.

A ONE-MINUTE OVERVIEW OF BRIEF
What Brief does
Brief keeps track of your work as it happens.
Brief connects to your email, calendar and chat, reads what comes in as it arrives, and picks out the decisions you make and the commitments people make to you. Reading your content is not something anyone at Brief can do in the ordinary course of their work.
You made the call. Everyone nodded. Three weeks later, it never happened.
Commitments, carried. Brief finds the commitments in your email and chat, each with an owner, the person it's owed to and a state, tracks them as they progress, and closes each one when the evidence shows it's done.
Normally, you find out when the customer does.
Who owes you what. Brief watches your threads after you hit send and flags the follow-up that's late and the customer who stopped answering. Open anyone you work with and see everything still open between you.
Ask a leader whether their latest big decision is getting worked on. The honest answer is "I'd have to go ask."
The decision record. Brief picks out the calls you make in email and chat and records what was decided and why, linked to the message it came from. Calls still being weighed are kept as pending decisions until someone makes them. Once a call is made, what was decided is sealed, so it can't quietly drift into a different version.
The hidden tax of leadership is reconstructing history under pressure.
The Daily Briefing and meeting preparation. The day opens on what's waiting on you, and each meeting comes with its preparation: who you're meeting and what's open between you.
It didn't get finished, so you did it yourself.
Agents that do the work. Tell Brief in chat what you want done and how often. It drafts the follow-through and sends it from your own account, watches a deal and speaks up only when something changes, drafts the intros you never made, and every Friday checks what your team let slip. There is nothing to build. By default, nothing goes out without your approval.
Executive work happens out loud, on the walk out of one meeting and into the next, not at a keyboard.
Talking to Brief. Tell Brief what you just agreed to. Ask what's waiting on you from a desktop or a phone's browser, and hear the morning brief read aloud.
On your terms
By default, nothing goes out without your approval, and you decide, action by action, what Brief handles on its own.
How your content stays privateWhere it works
- The daily email
- The web app, on a desktop or a phone
- Slack, Teams and WhatsApp
- The AI tools you already use, through Brief's MCP server
Your tools don't talk to each other, so you're the one connecting the dots. No tracker to fill in. Decisions, commitments and tasks are found in your email and chat, and tasks stay in sync with the task tool you already use:
- Google Tasks
- Microsoft To Do
- Slack Lists
- Todoist
How Brief is different
Others track tasks. Brief tracks who owes what, to whom, and whether it landed.
- Task managers
- Your task tool keeps your list. Brief keeps track of who owes what between people, and keeps your task tool in sync.
- Note-takers and capture tools
- They record what happened. Brief tracks what was decided and promised until it's done.
- The AI built into your office suite
- It retrieves across your tools. Brief works alongside it and makes sure the work you delegated carries through.
- Building it yourself on an AI chat tool
- Their memory is a profile of you, built from what you told them and what they chose to note; Brief maintains a record of the business, what was decided, what was promised, and what others promised back.
- An internal AI build
- A capable IT team can prototype something in a few days. Brief is the system that gets better every week after that. The question is whether anyone will own improving it a year from now.
- Your own system
- Your system works because you run it. Brief keeps running when you're in the next meeting.
Frequently asked questions
- How long until it works?
- The moment you sign in, Brief starts reading the last 30 days of your mail and your calendar. Your first daily brief arrives the next morning, and once Brief finishes its first read, a first brief appears in the app too.
- Is my data safe?
- Brief is built for that from the start, not wrapped in policy afterward. Reading your content is not something anyone at Brief can do in the ordinary course of their work. SOC 2 is in progress.
- Will Brief send anything without me?
- By default, nothing goes out without your approval, and you decide, action by action, what Brief handles on its own.
- Why does it need my work account?
- Your work account is where the decisions and commitments already are. Brief reads it so you don't have to enter anything, and your content is private by architecture.
- What do I have to set up?
- Connect your Google or Microsoft work account, plus Slack or Teams if you use them. Nothing has to be pasted in or filled out. No tracker to fill in.
- Do I need IT's approval?
- Usually not. Leaders in North America sign in with a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 work account and get straight in. Everyone else gets The Brief, our weekly newsletter on getting from decision to done, and first word when Brief opens where they are. If your company's admin approves new apps first, the privacy details are one click away for IT review.
