Most of a working day happens in Slack, and until now the daily brief arrived somewhere else. Every morning meant checking two places.
The updated Slack connector changes that. Connecting Slack always let Brief read your messages and pull out the commitments, decisions and questions in them. It still does, and it now adds a Brief app in Slack that delivers your daily brief and answers your questions. Everyone needs to connect Slack to get the app, including anyone who connected it to Brief before.
In this video Clint connects Slack from Brief's settings, opens the Brief app in Slack, and turns on delivery for the time and days he wants. The brief arrives as a direct message with the same items as the email. When something needs a closer look, he replies in the thread and asks, and Brief already has the briefing in front of it. Missed the morning's brief? Type /dailybrief and it comes again.
